  1. I opened your document and when I selected all the text, it appeared that only the top line was highlighted However, when I dragged the bottom handle down to increase the height of the frame, this showed that in fact all of the text had been selected So I am guessing this is a display issue.
  2. I’ve never, ever come across that in world of corporate takeovers.
  3. It might help to distinguish between sharing best practices that can be non software specific (what are the recommended bleed and margin set ups for a DL booklet) and software specific practices (how do set a bleed and margin setting in Affinity Publisher). I am not sure what folk here are asking for or perhaps it’s both?
  4. I’ve assumed you wanted text at the top of the ellipse and then (after pressing return) wanting text at the bottom of the circle as well.
  5. I wonder if the Affinity suite will simply come to a natural end in the same way as the old Serif suite ceased to be. Meantime it will be announced that the developers that transferred across to Canva have been working on a completely new suite of software that will be announced with a fanfare.
  6. No you can’t import Microsoft Publisher documents into APu. If you export them as PDF (don’t use the Microsoft driver to do this) you can import those.
  7. APu doesn’t have a fit text to frame function. You have manually reduce/increase the font size.
  8. Disappointed but not surprised by this. The excitement of version 1 and new functions slowed and the much-touted version 2 was welcome but not that exciting. The numbers simply didn't add up.
  9. You can create a group style to “hold” your styles together. https://affinity.help/publisher/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/textStyles_types.html#&title=Text style types
  10. If the above doesn’t help you sort it out, try cutting and pasting the text as plain text or creating a new blank right hand frame.
  11. In my experience you will waste so much time trying to import the foreign formatting, it won’t be worth the hassle. I would export the text as unformatted and create new styles in APu.
  12. After some experimenting the ghost frame on page 2 can be found in the layers window of pages 4 and 5 not page 2 as expected. Page2: Page 4 and 5: It's a remnant of a series of linked text frames, one of which was deleted. I'm trying to recreate it
  13. Existing documents - Windows 11. See my next post.
  14. APu 2.4 Getting a ghost frame on a page with no master page applied and zero layers...
  15. Very disappointed @Dan C that this has still not been resolved with the 2.4 update 😞
  16. It’s simply not a viable option for a business to develop an application for.
  17. You’re not missing anything, it’s the way it works and fools me occasionally. Drag the ghost image across to the frame or use the picture frame anchor option window to centre it.
  18. I don’t place text frames on master pages but use layout guides. That is because I am designing magazines that are based on a two column layout with different frame heights and stories that don’t flow into one another.
  19. I’d do this in the document setup if you want to affect the whole document. Otherwise (in APu) create master pages with different margins.
  20. I’ve mentioned this a number of times, as have others. It doesn’t seem to be a priority fix and has been around for a long time. It at least should remember the last setting.
