Thanks for the link to this thread which explains the increased dimensions as being something that the software automatically does. However, my major issue here is the significant cropping that also occurred. The cropping was so significant and detrimental to the image that it has seriously undermined any future use I am likely to make of the software. Can anyone please explain why it would do any unprompted cropping of any sort...? I have attached the image in question, the first was processed in PS the second in Affinity Photo. As you can see given the nature of the image the cropping was most undesirable.

Hello All, I am a total newbie, I quite literally used Affinity Photo for the first time yesterday so I may well have done something wrong, though quite what I don't know. I selected a raw image a .CR2 which loaded into the develop persona, however, it altered the dimensions from 5616 x 3744 to 5634 x 3753. It also cropped the image quite significantly on all edges by my estimate at least 100px on each edge which was most unfortunate as the original was taken very accurately with no wiggle room to spare. The image remained exactly the same in the photo persona and through export. Has anyone experienced anything like this themselves and could you please explain why it happened and how to avoid it happening again.
