For future reference always take a photo of the scene with and without the model. But for your situation cutting her out using the pen tool is going to be your best option.

Hi @nionio
Are you using the Selection Brush Tool, or another selection-based tool? You can use the keyboard shortcut W to cycle between the Section tools.
If you're using the Selection Brush Tool, then for example use V to switch to the move tool, you can press V once again to switch back to the Selection Brush tool - this should work with any tool shortcut. I hope this helps!
