  1. Yep, I'm using a Mac, which wouldn't have helped me. Thank you. Happy New Year
  2. Thank you. I knew it would be simple. I was looking for EXIF not Metadata Merry Christmas!
  3. I feel a bit of an idiot asking this, because there must be a simple answer... Can I edit/amend/delete the EXIF data from an image in Photo 2, please? If so, how and, if not, why not? Thank you.
  4. Is it possible to make a triangular marque tool, or would it be better to 'make' the correct shape and use that as a layer? Essentially, I'm using the marque rectangle and ellipse tools to clean up a logo, which is easy on vertical horizontal and curved edges, but not so much on straight but angled edges. Or can I rotate a rectangle marque tool, somehow? Thanks
  5. That's got it. Thank you firstdefence, and to walt.farrell and Paul Mc for your help, too.
  6. Yep, I'm definitely being stupid. Is it because I'm using the Rectangular marquee tool to draw the rectamgle? Should I be using the Selection Brush tool, instead? Thanks
  7. I have a small image (an icon, really) which I want to change slightly. To do this I'd planned to copy part of the image and paste that over another part of the image (text) to hide what's there. Then I'm going to add new text over it. It's not too simple because the background is graded, and I want to maintain that. Essentially, I want to copy the graded bit to the left of the M. and paste it over the "Zero" text. I know I can cut the section using Cmd and drag, but what ever happened to Cmd+C and Cmd+V? Thanks
  8. Thank you, h_d. It seems, when exporting the files from Affinity, either in SVG or EPS format, the 'stroke' is also exported as a vector, so there are three for each rectangle! The size of the box (which is 100mm x 50mm) and the inner and outer limits of the 'stroke'. I definitely need to remember to remove the spurious vectors when importing these into my CNC software (Vectric VCarve)
  9. I'm using Design to, erm, design a project for my hobby CNC machine. If I 'draw' a rectangle (circle, trapezoid, etc...) 50mm by 100mm, do I need to take account of the thickness of the lines (I normally use 0.2pt) when exporting the image as an EPS and/or SVG file, please? I appreciate 0.2pt is next to nothing, but if I use wider lines (e.g. 1pt) would the vector still be 50mm x 100mm when exported? I'm assuming it will, be, but I just want to make sure. Also, why does exporting as an EPS default to 85% quality when JPEG compression is enabled? Thanks
  10. I thought this would be fairly simple, but I'm not getting the result I want. Essentially, I have two circles of slightly different diameters but vertically aligned, and want to join them with tangiential lines to make one shape/vector. When I select all four vectors and use Add or Xor, the circles remain but the lines disappear. Do I need to convert the lines into a trapezoid for this to work? Thanks
  11. Just as an update, the only way I could get out of this was to Force Quit and restart the App. Both files were recoverable and, when I closed one, the other was printable. Hope this helps.
  12. I'm using a registered version of Designer 2 and it's stuck in a loop. I have two documents open - both saved - and I want to print one of them. At first it reported I hadn't selected the document to be printed, and now I'm stuck in this loop (see screenshot) and it won't let me leave. The "From:" value is set to 1, as was the "To:" value. Help!
