  1. I really like the new Anchor/PDF Bookmark feature in 1.9, although I may have found a bug not yet reported. I can manually create anchors, both top level, and sub-level. When I add a new anchor within a sub-level, I cannot move it to the desired location as indicated by the blue light between bookmarks. When I let go of the mouse button, nothing happens and the anchor remains in its out-of-order location. I can move an anchor of a sub-menu, or to a new sub-menu, but it I attempt to put it in the desired submenu, the wrong order is again retained. But iff I export as PDF, the correct bookmark order is retained.
  2. Thank you both for the information. Thankfully, the problem was fully resolved with the subsequent release of Publisher 1.8.2.
  3. After upgrading from Publisher 1.8 to 1.8.1 on Mac, PDF Export is unusably slow. Previously the file would export in about 30 seconds. After 10 minutes, the PDF export is now only at 50%. Total Export time was 22 minutes. The only significant changes made to the Publisher file related to 1.8.1 are replacing manual chapter Drop Caps with the new support for 2- and 3-character (numeric) drop caps (which is itself an excellent and VERY appreciated feature!).
  4. I cleared the master and reapplied the same one again, and the text frame in question disappeared. I copied/pasted another similar text field on the same page with the same master, but it too "froze" in place. I undid this action and then manually added a text frame, and can now fully control it.
  5. Thanks Pauls; I appreciate it. I checked the master and the text frame in question is not included on the master page. The expected header, footer, and body text frames are there, but not the one I can't delete.
  6. Potentially a bug. I have a Text Frame that I cannot change except for the contents. It appears with blue x's an all four corners and sides of the field. The Text Field cannot be resized, moved, or deleted. It is not pinned and the layer is displayed with a checkbox, but the check cannot be removed. Screenshot attached.
  7. Thank you Tourmaline. Admittedly, I am new to Affinity Publisher, so I don't know what I don't know. What I've done so far is use the Text Tool to add a number 1-150 and then align it to the left and lower grid line of the corresponding text. Is this harder or easier than your recommendation? I'm happy to try anything.
  8. Thanks garrettm30. I wholeheartedly agree the current limitations would mean an enormous amount of work, but it does not mean they are insurmountable. Without a need for text variables or multiline composer, it can be done.
  9. Thank you Seneca. I wholeheartedly agree with Bible typesetting demands and the exposure of publishing software deficiencies. Thankfully, there are manual workarounds with existing Affinity Publisher features that are meeting our needs, not as efficiently as they could be, but at least making it possible.
  10. I'm looking for a way that three numeric digits (i.e. "150") to be included in the Drop Cap. Can only seem to get the first digit, even with Initial Word set.
