  1. @Avant 5, I agree with you. I do love affinity but saving editable type as PSD needs to happen. I simply work with too many people across London that use PS. I'd be screwing up their files and duplication doesn't cut it. Looking forward to 1.9 upgrade. Here's hoping.
  2. @walt.farrell Thank you for your response, very helpful. I'll probably will revert back to PS. It's not that it's important to me using PS, it's more everyone I know working in Advertising, games and film uses it. I'll keep in touch with AP and hopefully by 2.0 it's better. I do have other issues ie with free transform for example. But I DO like and am I'm impressed this software especially the one off payment. I'd even be happy to pay for major updates to keep supporting the company. So keep up the great work serif.
  3. @mc6530 1.8.3 Having same problem. Type keeps rasterising. Also find Enable Save over imported PSD files in preferences. Seems obvious until I read the warning which creates doubt. Ideally all I want to do is work in AP importing and exporting all my files as a PSD and not AF because of industry demand. And I don't want to accidentally corrupt text layers by rasterising them.
  4. Have worked it out. On the spare channel if I right click on the icon or name itself then nothing happens. If I right click just above the name then I get the options pop up panel. Mission accomplished:)
  5. Can't find if this has been mentioned but... I can right click on Pixel Selection in channels and create spare channel but not right click on spare channel to do anything with it like rename etc! I'm using a Macbook Pro and trackpad and Affinity Photo 1.8.3
  6. Thanks for the feedback. I tried locking hoping it wouldn't allow me to accidentally paint on it. I'm new to AP using PS normally. I'm liking AP but obviously getting use to the slight differences. Like IanSG I'm starting to check the layer I'm on more now, bit of a bind.
