Affinity Photo taking a long time to save

Hi, I'm new to this forum and joined mainly to try to get an answer to this issue. I'm also relatively new to Affinity Photo. I'm just learning ho two use it. I'm working on creating a jigsaw view of a photo and for some reason its taking 20 to 30 mins to save. The size of the file is 700Mb. Any support welcome regards Derek
