  1. I am using Publisher 1.8 and cannot create a hyperlink for the URL: swaveseyandovertennisclub.btck.co.uk Other URL's are OK and are active in the exported PDF file but not this one.. Using the 'Interactive - Insert Hyperlink' control all looks Ok. But if I then hit 'Go to Hyperlink Target' it reports 'Failed to launch PDF viewer'. I have to confess that MS Word behaves oddly with this URL, however, pasting the URL into a browser the web page can be viewed. Any ideas or a workaround?
  2. I have also been having ‘Export to PDF’ failures and found that the old profiles I used with version 1.7 that automatically imported into 1.8 are the problem. If I use the default profiles, I can export OK.
  3. I have just upgraded to 1.8.0.584 and my 80 page magazine crashed the Publisher program. Using the, (open a blank document first) workaround I was able to open the magazine. It showed two warnings i.e. A changed linked item and a missing font. I corrected both of these and now the magazine opens without crashing and now no need to open a Blank document first.
  4. I have also changed to using AP from PagePlus for a 88 page A5 booklet village magazine which is professionally printed and also placed on our website. The web output using Export “PDF (for web)“ produced a PDF which is not rendered correctly in some browsers. Chrome, Firefox & Microsoft Edge all show the text with missing characters, predominately the letter ”i” after an “f”. Internet Explorer and Acrobat Reader DC both show the file correctly. I have tested the larger file sent to the printer and that displays correctly in all the above browsers, so the problem is only with the lower resolution (for web) output As a workaround I have resorted to using the third party PDF-XChange as a printer driver to produce a web output suitable to use. I have other issues with a partially missing paragraph where text flowed to another frame and phone numbers pasted into a table where the last digit was reduced by one. Trying to replicate these at the moment to understand what went wrong! This is a disappointing start to using this software and now don’t trust it and will have to spend extra time checking everything as I now have a published magazine with errors. The website version I can replace with the one created using PDF-XChange but the printed magazine cannot be changed.
