I am using Affinity Publisher to create work documents, so i have several "template pages" i tend to import into what I'm working with, and then I often end up with duplicates of text styles. Is there a simple way to merge text styles in general? I don't want to just delete them as I will have to look for where this style was used and re-add, which would be time consuming. But maybe there is a way to search for one style and have have it use another, then delete unused afterwards? Thanks!

I am getting a bit annoyed when working in publisher. Say I edit a document and edit some text and then want to move a object I need to click on the arrow/V move tool. Trying to shortcut using "V" ends many times up with writing "V" or creating new text with "V" in it. Is there another better way to cancel / deselect?

Missing fonts but font installed?
Vegard replied to Vegard's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
In this case it was KNX ETS. Yeah would be great if Affinity could fix this cause I cant seem to find another way than rastersize right now, and thats not good or practical. -
I got this message that a font is missing in the preflight. In font manager all shows OK so this is related to an imported PDF file. This imported PDF is a generated report and I have chosen a font that I already use in the document, but still it shows as missing? Is the only way here to rastersize this? Would be great to just leave as is and when updated I wont need to do the process again.

Tables across more pages
Vegard replied to grapher's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Any news on this feature? I have a table of content spanning 4 pages, could have been 2 pages if I could only merge and say "datasheet 1....... page 26-34" etc.... -
I have been trying to create this interactive / clickable PDF. And have found hyperlinking a bit messy to work with. First of its a bit time consuming right clicking etc. I found out that creating a shortcut with "Alt + h" was fast as I was hyperlinking a ton of tags on a floorplan. And then we have how pages work. Like I have a document with 2 sections. section 1 is TOC without page number, and then the document itself is section 2 with page number. so page numbers counts from page 6. So when hyperlinking based on page I am unable to remember what page I want to hyperlink too. the pages tool is to small even on large to see what page I want. And pages are basically named "page x". If we where able to name the pages it would be easier. A better way is hyperlinking based on anchors, as this will not mess up anything if I decide to add a page in the middle by example. Which is important as I have created the document as a template for projects. Saving time on next project etc. Anchors is what I do for now, creating anchors with name and then hyperlinking. This is great except I have no control of where the link will go. Basically all it does now is to go to the page and scroll down to text, this might be the intention. But I would love to be able to control and say go to page with this anchor instead.

Table of contents and hyperlinks
Vegard replied to Michael Gough's topic in [ARCHIVE] Publisher beta on macOS threads
Any progress on this? Its nice that you can click the number in the PDF but would be nice to be able to click anywhere on the heading. -
Ok so I was fidling about the menues and I found a way. Going into the "Flow Options" I could while having this marked set the "Start" to "On Next Page". Only problem with this is that it does not seem to be saved in any way. Once the TOC is updated it will go back to default. So from what I see I have to fix the TOC once the whole document is done.

Ok. So i managed to get the TOC spanning two pages as its become too long for one page. But is it possible to set that the second page start with the style that I have marked? Right now it looks a bit messy as the second page does not look good as a continue of first page. How can I make this look better? Thanks!

So I am trying to create images that I can use as assets, not as a layer asset but as a vector image asset. But I am unable to do this. If I in Designer export to say svg or eps I get them as embeded document, and then I cannot save it as an asset. I have tried searching for this and seen many videos, but it seems I am not sure what the correct search is for this problem. I have tried creating all objects so they all become "curves" but that does not seem to help. And I do not want to raster it as that does not make it vector. What is the correct way of saving this as an object/image that I can use as an asset later?

Thanks I am actually going to try use publisher/designer to create documents instead of using Lucidchart. As this solution is not subscription based and is also more powerfull. I tried now combining A4 and A3 in same document and at looks like this could actually work good. Using 2 different master pages. Not sure what drawbacks this could mean, other than with printing. But then again we try to export 2 copies. One for printing on A4 and one that is exported as a spread sheet, so its good to look at on table/pc.
