You can do it in MS Word or Apple Pages - I've done both

If I choose File->Open, heif files are not selectable. This also happens when trying to select source files for a batch job. (If I drag and drop the files individually, or use 'Open with...' in the finder, they open fine.) Why is this?

The need to hide pages or spreads would be helpful, and the reasons are similar to reasons for hiding layers. For example maybe I have a couple of versions of a page, and I want to hide but not delete until I decide which are final, or be able to switch back and forth between them

Duplicating the layer with the embedded (linked) document, rasterizing the copy, and turning off the original, embedded layer allowed me to both print and export to PDF. The embeded document is still there if I need to change it and can duplicate & rasterize again if needed without too much fuss

I am also experiencing this... I am also getting an error trying to export to PDF, so I can't do that either.
