Workaround for Shape Builder Tool

Fede10204 posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

So I've tried to recreate the form of this tutorial, but I cant get a satisfactory result with the boolean operations that get mentioned as alternative for the Shape builder tool of Photoshop.
