There is a misunderstanding here. Pure black and white print files were an issue 20 years ago, not anymore. Please ask the printer for the desired print profile. I am sure it is a cmyk profile (with empty cmy channels). What profile settings did the original novel file have?

Eben. In vielen Diskussionen und noch mehr Testversuchen zu „nur schwarz drucken“ hier im Forum stellte sich heraus, dass „Nur K“ in Publisher die Lösung ist. Zuvor habe ich für Schwarzweißbilder ein in Photoshop kreiertes Profil genutzt (vom Original abgeleitet). Schwarze Druckfarbe - PSO Coated v3.icm

Mutmaßlich auch noch D50? Vielleicht „verschluckt“ sich Publisher an der mehrfachen Umrechnung. „Nur K“ gedrückt? Dann lass’ das Problem weg sein. 😉

Bei nicht farbkritischen Drucksachen kann man europäische Farbprofile (bei gleicher Papierart) auch mal direkt zuweisen. Mit amerikanischen und japanischen Druckprofilen geht das nicht.

Bei Zuweisen bleiben die Zahlenwerte erhalten, aber der Farbeindruck sowohl auf dem Bildschirm als auch im Druck kann sich ändern. Bei Umwandeln bleibt der Farbeindruck erhalten, aber die Farbwerte/-Zahlen ändern sich. Hier liegt dein 4c-Problem begründet.

Zuweisen ist zuweisen und umwandeln ist umwandeln. Oder nicht? 😉

Ganz normal öffnen, gewünschtes Profil zuweisen und unter neuem Namen abspeichern. Dann natürlich alles auf seine Richtigkeit prüfen. (Und bevor die Erbsenzähler kommen: wir reden von einer Sportbroschüre.)

Besser wäre es gewesen, PSO Coated v3 direkt zuzuweisen. Alle Schriftfarben wären erhalten geblieben und die Nuance an Farb- oder Helligkeitsänderung bei den Bildern nur im direkten Vergleich aufgefallen.

In such a case it may be useful to scale up first and then scale back to the desired size (Bilinear). 2835 px –> 4725 px –> 945 px (945 px x 5 = 4725 px)

Yes. I don't like working in 1:10, but it has the undeniable advantage of being able to use "normal" font sizes. Also other sizes like shadows or radii are still in the usable range. (I was just too lazy to write as much as @thomaso. 😉)

Caution: absolute sizes of rounded edges may be excluded from scaling. All images will have a higher resolution by a factor of 10. So pay attention to the resolution when exporting.
