Designer SVG export (empty groups)
Palatino replied to Juc1's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Yes, I overlooked that. Designer V1: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!DOCTYPE svg PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SVG 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/1.1/DTD/svg11.dtd"> <svg width="100%" height="100%" viewBox="0 0 400 200" version="1.1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" xml:space="preserve" xmlns:serif="http://www.serif.com/" style="fill-rule:evenodd;clip-rule:evenodd;stroke-linejoin:round;stroke-miterlimit:2;"> <rect x="50" y="20" width="50" height="50" style="fill:rgb(13,202,242);"/> <text x="124.058px" y="181.133px" style="font-family:'ArialMT', 'Arial', sans-serif;font-size:50px;">Houston</text> <text x="94.308px" y="116.383px" style="font-family:'ArialMT', 'Arial', sans-serif;font-size:50px;">Boston</text> <text x="46.191px" y="55.791px" style="font-family:'ArialMT', 'Arial', sans-serif;font-size:50px;">New <tspan x="159.204px 187.963px 215.771px " y="55.791px 55.791px 55.791px ">Yor</tspan>k</text> </svg> -

Really? I would actually like that. -
optical kerning?
Palatino replied to RichardZ's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Optical kerning was also the first thing I looked at. I would have done without some of the "magic tricks" of version 2 for that. What the heck, I can't use v2 anyway - yet - Mojave. -
V2 Pricing
Palatino replied to Jade7's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Affinity likes its customers. 😉 -
From the discussion here, I learn: I buy Adobe Acrobat and "find" problems with it that I wouldn't have without the software? Right? I have never had any printing problem. I export a PDF with my own - few - presets, open it in Designer or Publisher and check all the important details. Yes, I find errors from time to time, but they are my own mistakes and easily corrected.
