  1. One of the major tool bars is stuck in the center of my MacBook Pro screen. I have tried resetting. I cannot drag it. The "Tools Rest" button is greyed out. Can anyone help! I can't work on pictures with this bar in the way. Screen shot attached. Joe
  2. Hi... Apple photo does retain the name of an image. It is found under the "i" icon (information). It also seems that Affinity looses the photo name when images are brought in from Adobe Bride. Also, Affinity does not retain where the file came from. When exporting to jpg the program has to be shown where to put the jpg image. I would be nice if the default was to put the processed image back where the original came from. Am I missing a preference setting on this? Thanks, Joe
  3. I ordered the new Affinity Photo Book and I'm very excited about it. I can't wait to receive it!

  4. I just processed family photo shoot completely with Affinity for iPad. Overall, I was very pleased. It took me a little while to get my workflow determined. One negative I found was that image names were not brought over into the app. I would like to see image names preserved as images are loaded into the app. Otherwise, very pleased.
  5. I am liking Affinity more and more. I want to break away from Photoshop and this IS the product that will allow me to do that. I HATE the idea of monthly fees to use a product. Thank you for developing Affinity Photo!
  6. The histogram of the photo are very different in the two programs. I'm not sure how to change the setting to achieve what I feel is more consistent with what the histogram in camera looks like. I have attached to jpgs showing the difference in the histograms of Affinity and Photoshop. Can you suggest setting changes? Thanks!
  7. Hi biltils, Thanks for the info. I am opening in Develop persona. Look more at the assistant to see about settings. I did look at them but I guess I haven't figured them out completely.
  8. Interesting. I'm not sure I completely understand. I would think you would want to see what you captured. In other words, even though the shot is in RAW, I still tried to capture the shot close to what I wanted it to be.
  9. I've noticed there a a LOT of tool on the left had tool bar when the work area is empty. When I open a RAW photo file more than half of the tools disappear. Where do they go? Can I get them back? Thanks, Joe
  10. I have notice when I open my raw files in Affinity Photo, they are much darker than they are in Adobe Bridge and in Photoshop. They also appear much darker than they appear on my camera view. I'm wondering if I have a setting or preference set wrong. I have attached two screen shots. Nothing has been done to either photo except to open them in Affinity and Photoshop. You can see the difference in the brightness and color. The Photoshop clip better represents what was captured in the camera. Can anyone make suggestions or have you noticed this and what did you do? Thanks, Joe
  11. I too have my folder system and I don't want to move away from that system if at all possible. I have it organized by year, date and event.
  12. I have a VERY old MediaPro Windows platform in a closet somewhere. Don't think that will do me much good, but I'm going to revisit MediaPro.
  13. Thank you for the replies! I will investigate the links provided.
