Bulaka reacted to mrwolfie in CorelDraw Palette for Affinity Products
Hello everyone:
I have made the default CMYK CorelDraw Palette for any of the 3 Affinity products. The zip file includes the palette file a PDF showing all the color patches, the Corel file of the patches and also this same file as an Affinity Publisher file. Feel free to use the original files in any way you wish. This palette is made up of 100 different colors and duplicates the Corel palette to a tee. I checked different patches in CorelDraw and in Affinity photo and both programs came up with the same CMYK numbers. At some point I will be switching from CorelDraw to the Affinity suit. With having all 3 products now I can make the change gradually. Hope this helps anyone that might be also switching.

Welcome to the forum mdiliyas :D
There's no official certification program available through Affinity right now, it may be something we look into in future.
Hope that helps!

Bulaka reacted to pixelramen in Made in Affinity Designer (Newbie)
As a newbie to Affinity Designer, I'm loving it. Below are my sample works which starts from basic to medium. I used Affinity Spotlight website to populate my magazine design mockup and another magazine design original. I sure do hope Affinity comes up with their companion magazine, because that would be cool!

Bulaka reacted to MattP in PLEASE READ THIS: Sharing Guidelines
We've had a query about what is viewed as 'acceptable' content, and what our stance on it is.
This topic is one which is typically fairly volatile because everyone is so different and what is acceptable for one person, can be shocking or inflammatory to another. We don't want everyone to feel cautious about what they click, just in case they are faced with something they'd rather not see, but we also don't want to discourage people from sharing the amazing work they've been creating, so... We think the simplest, clearest thing to do is:
If you think your image could in any way be described as controversial...
- Start a new topic with an appropriate title
- Upload your image to a sharing site (Flickr, Behance, Instagram, etc) - you can even use the 'Share' link in the app's File menu
- Write a proper description of your work in the body of your post and add a text link to the image you have shared
Now, if people think they'd be offended, they just don't have to click the link and they won't see it at all.
Thanks,
Matt

In which case, as Patrick Connor suggested, this thread belongs in the ‘Share Your Work’ forum rather than the ‘Resources’ forum.

You're welcome.
I'm still learning this sort of thing myself so it's good to see other people's work to get ideas from.

Looks nice.
If you are open to a bit of constructive criticism I have some ideas/suggestions:
* It would be nice to see an example of where the product images are supposed to go. This would show people what the finished product might look like.
* The “Product X” texts are of different sizes (not sure if this is deliberate).
* Product One seems to be very near the side of the page. Might not be easy to get the real product name in.
Looking at the AFDESIGN file:
* You have “Product Three” grouped with the address. That’s not good from a template design point of view.
* The curves with the gradients in are more complex than necessary. You can do them with triangles which are easier to modify.
* The background rectangle is bigger than it needs to be with no bleeds. Not a major issue just something I’m not keen on.
* Your document size is very large and I don’t know if 1.2m x 2m is a standard size. Best to check the standards for templates.
Attending to the small details can sometimes make a big difference (I’ve been caught out by this many times myself).
I’ve attached a quickly-edited version for you to have a look at.
