Hello i tried the solution by Len with DXO Photlab 5, and the Item was there as an export item. but after trying to export, I got "Affinity Photo could not be opened" Maybe a security problem??

Hello, after opening a 40 MB Raw file from my olympus and choosing Output-Raw-Layer(embedded) I developed the file with no further changes in the develop modul and saved it as afphoto file. The file size is now 700MB. i would understand if it will grow to 100MB because of originalfilesize+ copy of originalfilesize + someinternalthings ...but 15 times of original. And opening the same file in Version 1 is a little bit faster than in version2 ? All the other stuff I've had time to explore looks very well 👍

So thanks v_kyr and notmyfault. These are now 2 opinions on the nuances of the colours my monitor can display. But even after reading the Eizo article, I'm still not sure. If I superimpose all the colour spaces, I would see that my sRGB is the smallest, then Adobe RGB and then ProPhoto/ROMM. Everything outside of sRGB cannot be displayed. But since the colour spaces are larger/differently graded, the displayable content within my sRGB monitor should also change, i.e. the nuances/colour gradations. My confusion is increasing🤪 and perhaps there is more information. Since the topic is also discussed rather controversially in other forums, it seems to be not so simple after all😆. Sorry, so I try it this way Do I also see differences in colour nuances on an sRGB monitor when I convert my raw image to ROMM/Lab mode, or does this method only make sense on a WideGammut monitor? 😇

Hi all, I've watched the videos https://affinity.serif.com/de/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/332654440/ and https://affinity.serif.com/de/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/310551180/ but there is still one question. After developing a Raw file and assigning ROMM RGB, then converting document to LAB do I have also advantages if my monitor is only a 100% sRGB. I realise that sRGB is a much smaller colour space, but do I still have advantages because the gradations/tonalities within the sRGB colour space are then more accurate. At the latest when outputting for printing, sRGB is assigned, so I am really only concerned with the image processing part between develop and print. I look forward to any answer, or even a supplementary video on this topic. 😃 best regards Guenter

Hello, I'm new on MAC and would like to work with LUT's in AP. I've watched a video shown all the steps but it was on windows system. Trying to load LUT's (the guy were talking about preinstalled LUT's by installation ) I've got an empty window and don't know where to find the LUT's . Are there any preinstalled LUT#s and where to find, or do I have to download LUT's anywhere on the web? Thanks in advance Guenter

Hello, I use AP and AD only for simple work and don't have so much time for practice. Now I would create a card like shown in 25.png Using the PenTool and ArtisticText I became like shown in Try.png, but how can I achive the text marked with the red arrows. I found it very difficult to create curved lines, attach the text and the text fit's perfect. Is there an easy way to create? Thanks in advance Guenter

Dear Loukash, yes the largest is a good idea, but for me it's only a first start into the Mac World and I will not use the Air as a real working machine. My win i7, 64 GB Ram is powerfull enough for Raw developing using DXO and all the other stuff, my data and photos are on a NAS and my windows system HD with 512 GB has enough free space. The MAC is only to got a feeling for the Mac world, and only for browsing, showing photos to friends and for travelling. I think all the Mac included apps I found here Apps included on your Mac - Apple Support and Affinity photo is a good starting point. But any suggestions are welcome. best regards Günter

Hello, in my mind all raw files opened in a software got some corrections by the software's engine. Opening a Nikon Nef in Capture the file looks closer to the photo you remember when you shot it. An olympus .orf file opened in Oly workspce will be the same. A software like DXO or Affinity photo supporting different raw files from lot of cameras will have a start setting to show the raw file on the screen. In DXO for example it starts with Color rendering - generic rendering, choosing Camera-body - Olympus OM-D-M1.... shows other saturation and slightly different color. Don't know if there is a similar setting in Affinity photo. best regards

Hello, the next weeks I will buy a macbook air m1...coming from windows, and have to decide what size of SSD I need. On the page Affinity Photo – Liste aller Features (serif.com) I've found that for example A-photo needs 2.8 GB disk space. the guys from Gravis told me that A-photo needs 750 MB disk space. Thats a really big difference. Could anybody give me a value from real life 😄 thanks a lot Guenter

Really I haven't seen that is Pixel on the webpage, because i thought the 10417 x 3402 is the size of the cover page in mm with the overlapping parts left/right which are normally not seen because between cover page and inlett. Hello, from the webpage Profibereich / Komplettseiten-Upload (saal-digital.de) I downloaded the idml file for a photobook size 42 x 28 with 46 pages. Like the description says the dimensions will be 46 10417 x 3402 300 161 94 112 83 PSD ID PSD ID First I opened the Umschlag.idml and renamed the Master Page to Umschlag... and then I choose Dokument-Seiten aus Datei hinzufügen to add the innenseite.idml and renamed this masterpage to Innenseite... For all i changed the document unit from Punkt to Millimeter. Then I saved it as a template All works fine but checking the Layoutside i got the information that the size is 863 x 274 for the Umschlag master, and not the expected 10417 x 3402, and the normal pages are 840 x 270 which nearly fits the size of the photobook. Hello, I'm olympus user, and there is the possibilty to create HIRES-shots. There is a plugin described here http://support.olympus-imaging.com/hp1download/download and is installed as OlympusHRS_ORF.8ba I put it under C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Photo\1.0\Plugins but doesn work. Some google search showed me that 8bf are normal plugins like for example NIK-Collection, 8ba are file Import/export plugins. I don't find any information where to integrate these kind of plugin. Is or will this possible, or by any technical circumstances not best regards Guenterm
