itsdalton reacted to spex in [Designer] Add ability to export all artboards automatically
You can export multiple artboards using the Export Persona. Not only can you export multiple artboards, but you can do so in multiple file formats, with a different format for each artboard, if desired. You also have detailed control over the export format.

Simply show the Toolbar via View > Show Toolbar or press ⌥⌘T and then click on the Export Persona button.

Another interesting feature is Continuous Export, which is best explained by this video:

I think Affinity Designer has the best export feature set available. I am not affiliated with Affinity in any way, but I'm happy to answer any questions.

@Dr. Dave Thanks Dr Dave ! - that works very nicely with two different nodes but I can't seem to get it working with the two transform handles of a single node. How do you select both transform handles? I've tried holding CTRL, SHIFT, ALT and all the usual combinations.

    Hi LeviA

    Welcome to the forum!

You could right click the object with the gradient applied and select 'Create Style' and then apply the style to other objects :)

And you could copy the object properties from one shape to another by copying the source object and selecting Edit > Paste Style. Another neat trick …  ;)

It's been over 3 years since last response to this question. can we please get a response? This is a very important feature. literally the only one that keeps me using Illustrator over Designer. Is it actually going to be added? is it being held back to be sold in Designer 2.0?

I would also love to be able to rotate the canvas freely with some key modifier + pen movement.
Is this already on a roadmap somewhere and if not, what do we have to do in order for the Affinity team to evaluate this?

Yeah the canvas rotation bug doesn't ever seem to get fixed. It's highly annoying that on a normal working setup you're crippled with step-rotation. Why it doesn't have a key combo that you can hold while dragging to rotate is beyond me.

Well, Document > Rotate rotates the actual canvas.

If you want a temporary rotation for drawing purposes, try View > Rotate. You can rotate in 15 degree intervals but bear in mind it does not rotate the actual canvas. If you save the document it will not be saved rotated.

    Hi @Olivier Bujold
    Welcome to Affinity Forum.
Well, you will find here a video i've made that surely answers your question.
Hope this will help you to start creating awesome things in Affinity from today.
if you need to now more about this functionality then i believe @MEB or @Patrick Connor will be of great help.

itsdalton got a reaction from Sean P in Designer keeps crashing and freezing
This worked perfectly for me on my Win10 laptop, running Affinity Designer 1.7.3.481 and working with a Wacom Intuos Pro. Thank you for posting this simple solution!

    Hi MusingLounge,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums! Thanks for getting in contact with us.

Do you find that the software freezes or that the tools feel like they're not responding. When the software is in this state do you find that if you try to use the Vector Brush Tool it will only draw straight lines?

There is currently a known issue that can occur when you change focus to a different application and then click back into the Designer UI area (not the document area). It is easiest to see when using the Vector Brush Tool, as it will only begin to draw straight lines. If you look at the video in this post this will show an example of this, all other tools will feel like they've stopped working such as the Panning and Move Tool.
If this is the case for you then you can disable 'Use Windows' Ink within the Wacom Tablet's properties (I believe it is the Mapping or Calibrate tab). This should allow you to work with a tablet device without running into the issue. Please let us know if this works for you!

    Thanks,
