Thank you all for your tips! For me reloading nor signin out of and into App Store didn't help. However uninstalling the softwares and reinstalling them worked, I now have the 1.8.1 versions. A bit annoying though having to use these kind of tricks to get things done.

For some users who bought from the Mac App Store, reloading the Updates page, either from the Store menu or with the keyboard CMD+R shortcut, is all it takes for the updates to appear.

Removing it from the app store, wait till its finished, then reinstall from the App Store, did the trick and now all apps on 1.8.1 on Catalina.. hope it helps

Try logging out of and into the Apple Store. This works for me when I don't see updates for software which I know is newly updated in the store.
