Fonts not correctly recognized when opening PDF

subetha posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

I have PDFs here including the Myriad Pro font set in regular and bold. The font is correctly installed on my machine. When I open the in Publisher or Designer, it tells me the font is missing and suggests other versions of Myriad Pro. Why? When opened in Adobe Acrobat DC the PDF fonts are correctly displayed and editable.
