I would also love to see this option available. Right now it is probably the only action that I often use several times per minute that requires me to select it by mouse.

This is already on my to-do list. I'd already got a plan for a Grid widget that works along snapping. This will include a way to move the grid origin.

I second this feature request … Lock Children NEEDS a shortcut, I use it all the time and would like to switch quickly!

Hello - I'm still getting used to Affinity, but I think I'm over the hump and it's great - setting up keyboard shortcuts up like crazy!
Is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut for "Lock children"? I can only find it in the context(?) menu.
