After a Hard reset of my ipad 12.9 3rd Generation back to IOS 12.3.1 i just testet the nee Release candidate and was very pleased to See that Even the NR Development in develop persona now dont ends in a Crash of AP. After a Certen Time of working on the picture all is still working very Smoothly.

the first test was problem less now I let it some time active in background and try it later again.

p_mac I tried to let AP open in background for several hours and activated the app after that time. and before I have done anything in AP I was expiring a laggy app. now I try to downgrade my iPad to 12.3.1 where such things didn't happen and try it again.

Hi Chris! I have just checked the app again. Have had AP active while I have set the iPad to standby mode. After reactivating the app (not restarting) I experienced the same lagging bahavier without having done anything else before. Do you have any ideas what that could be?

But I can provide the steps until it happens for sure. 1.) I open the RAW (ARW-File) out of the Pixave library 2) i do raw processing including noise reduction and say develop 3) i do auto corrections in photo persona 4) i do frequency separation with the filter and group the two resulting layers after that AP starts to freeze from time to time. the steps are usually that how they are explained in the AP Workbook for beauty retouching.

Thanks Frank! I think it could have something todo with memory management. When the iPad runs longer and I try to work on a picture it starts to happen shortly after the frequency splitting of the picture and grouping the two layers. I just tried it again after I have had the iPad for a longer time shut off. this time the issue didn't show up. But I guess if I leave the iPad in stand by and try the same later it will appear again.

hi frank! that sounds similar to my problem since I updated my iPad Pro to iOS 12.4. as soon as I have some layers all actions got slowed down and waiting that the picture become ready in overview seems to take forever. only way is quitting the app and restarting.

have done twice a complete reset to factory settings and reinstalled all apps.

before 12.4 I haven't had such problems too

I can be very specific and I am serious. I start with opening the RAW picture out of the app Pixave, also tried it with opening the picture out of apple Fotos Mediathek, then do raw editing in develop persona including noise reduction, what is since iOS 12.4 now working. After developing I start with filter frequency splitting and group the 2 layers into a group. After this I create a new pixel layer for skin color adjustment and than I can watch when drawing on this layer the brush lines I draw will be displayed seconds after I was drawing them and even enlarging or shrinking the picture with finger gestures seem to react after some seconds and not imidiatly as it was before update to iOS 12.4. And this is true for the versions 1.7.1 and 1.7.2.147. And one other thing I am not the only person with performance issues on iPad.

Both versions have tterrible Performance Problems under iOS 12.4. Already considering trying pixelmator. In case of switching i Would request my Money back Form Software and Book.

Same here AP 1.7.1 and 1.7.2.147 freezing After some Time working Sinne i Updates my iPad 12.9 to iOS 12.4. extremely Frustrating:

You are Not Aline. Sünde Update to 12.4 Afinnity Photo 1.7.1 and 1.7.2.147 Beta freezing on my iPad Pro 12.9 regularely. Even drawing Ort resizing needs Evers Time some Second preventing fluent working

The same issues with Performance i expire also with 1.7.1. it Looks like as falls ap into sleep White working and awakes again wehen you trotz to do somethin. Very frustating. Prevents me from working fluently with it.

After some Time of edditing a picture affinity Photo is going rapidly down in Performance so that drawing a Color Ort sizing the picture hast some Second Delay on my iPad Pro 12.9 3. Generation Running iOS 12.4.

you could use Pixave on Mac to organize your afphoto files. its also available for iPad

Its extreme. I Open the picture oft oft Fotos do only frequncy separation and Pütz the 2 Layer into a Group and can forget affinity Photo because nothing is working smoothly and longer gut there is no good was around Fotos Right now

I have the same issue with 1.7.1 and 1.7.2.147 Beta. After Frequenzen separation it Slowenien that much down that Even enlarging and shrinking freezes.

Winde iOS 12.4 Booth ap Version Slow Down dramaticlly with increasin layers

Not only on large Fotos. Have hat terrible Performance issues the more Layer i have had. Have had to restart App several times and the mit Crashs with dataloss. Ist was close to beeing unuseable.

Was happy seine the Crash during Noise Reduktion Silver gut now Met Ionen a terrible decrease in performance during editing. Have hat to Save and Start App several times. And at the End it crashed and i lost all edits during last Save. First 1.7.2 Beta and 1.7.1 was more stabile at all. The loss in Performance Jakes it nearly unuseable

With more and more Layer it is Fotoinformationen rapidly down in Performance and Trends to crashing with dataloss.

Gut it is freezing more and more during picture editing and crashed with total loss of edits

Hi! just testen the new ap Beta Version and was verry happy to See that the crahing problem during raw Development with Noise Reduktion is now solved

In my eyes the beautycorrection in develop persona got. definitiv improved Compared to 1.7.1. Workshop much more Fuentes now!
