    Hi everyone!
This practice is based on a real photo.
I painted it with only 3 brushes, and again, truly love Affinity Designer!
P.S. I am not bald, just for fun.

This is where I'm at now....except with a few technical issues because I don't want to have to redo this whole thing again. I like where it's at now, looks way better than the terrible sketches I made (and have no excuse for).

    Good evening :-)
I do transit maps (diagrams) for fun in my spare time to relax.
Here is my interpretation of the Bern trolleybus and tram network.

    Feedback is welcome.
Have a nice start of the week tomorrow!

Red Eyed Tree Frogs are native to Mexico, Central America and go all the way down to Colombia (perhaps on holiday). Its scientific name is A. callidryas, which comes from Greek words kalos (beautiful) and dryas (a tree or wood nymph).
I was chatting with someone about drawing and she liked to do Victorian style flora and fauna illustrations (I think there’s a proper name for it but I forget). I said that I usually try for realistic when I mess around for fun and she wanted to see something. One her favourite things are frogs, she has lots of ornaments etc in her house. So I did this, I think it might be the first living thing that I’ve done properly although I'll probably do a bit more to it sometime.
Just the pen tool, no textures.

So I'm mostly a Photo user (and abuser) but I have a hand in a craft brewery as well. With a limited release coming up, it was a good opportunity to try my hand at some design as well for some small-batch labels. I've done logos and such in other applications but this is the first time using Designer for something like this. It's predominantly assembly of components I culled from elsewhere (not a freehand artist here by any definition) and then utilizing AD to unify the look.

Here are some screenshots of a graphic pitch I have worked on. I used Affinity Designer to create graphic labels and texturing maps. Photo was used for some simple easy colour correction. A colleague of mine asked me what is on fire because of the orange sparkles I guess it was the computer during rendering.
Then I used the renders to create a demo animation. Unfortunately this project was not developed into anything real  but at least I learned some new things

How about making it more about the challenge? Instead of saying “Help Needed”, what about saying something along the lines of: “Contractors, I bet you can’t fix this” or “Impossible Gardening Challenge”. Try making people want to do it out of pride - or whatever - rather than asking for help. Also, try and make the photo a little darker, foreboding and moody. A scary place that needs making better. I’ve attached a very quick-and-crude sample in case it helps in some way.
I agree that the fire looks out-of-place. It’s not necessary in this instance.
I only recently purchased Photo and the sheer amount of features and tools is a bit daunting, even though I’ve been using GIMP for years. Sometimes having so many options can slow down the creative process. With so many options it’s difficult to choose what to try next.

I am enjoying the challenge of using Affinity Designer on an iPad, particularly when wondering how to create images like this and blending vector and pixel modes. I took a few reference photos whilst out on a walk. Then began with a few vector shapes (and a little bit of duplication) adding pixel textures to bind it all together. By the way, I always work in cmyk mode, never rgb. I am used to doing print work and rgb gives different colours.

Was just testing some new things in Affinity Designer 1.7.1 and had this random blob (curve) on the screen, and it looked like an animal, so —a tiny bit later— this came out. Tested the new stroke arrow options too (the feet).

The vectorised voronoi pattern was generated with CINEMA 4D, rendered out, passed through "potrace", and then imported as curve into Affinity Designer. Not sure that's the best way, but works for me.

    Hi folks!
It's time to update this thing...
The same set, suitable for cartoonists, character designers and comic artists.

    Now it is composed of:

    4 layout tools
1 standard pencil and 3 layout pencils embedding typical colors like blue, red and green (you don't need to choose it from color picker).
Now with tilt for shading effect!

    8 Inkers
G pens, trapezoid shaped and Sumi-e variants!
All these tools are sensitive to pen pressure and tilt.
    Hope you'll enjoy it!
    Grab it here!

PS. The old one is still here

    Hello everyone,
First of all, I hope it's okay that I'm triple posting. I have something I'd like to share. I have an art book on figure poses, and it gets pretty extensive. It gets into the anatomy structure, the seven laws of folds (fabric), proportion, and all of that. While I am more into cartoon drawing, I do like to demonstrate these art features to make my characters look more believable and consist more realism. I made a speed-draw video of my character, Angie. I thought you might enjoy it. This does move pretty fast, so I'll explain that when I got into the vector layers, I used both closed and partially closed filled curves, and I used open non-filled curves for the line indications. If anyone would like me to attach the actual file, let me know, and I can do so.
