    Assets in Beta

I'am working on both systems. At home on the Mac (freelance)
  4. Recently I started a part-time job where I have to work with a Windows system. I only have a long time Apple experience with Mac OS. But no discussion about Windows or MAC OS please... I would like to know what the best software is for font managing using Windows and Publisher Anyone here have a tip include auto activation of course.
  5. Pretty fast it wil be better and better, great work!
  6. Just made my first magazine in Pubisher and am happy with it. But there is one thing that I don't understand. I would like to receive the text in .RTF format from al the editors. This is due to better functioning of text styles. Only all these RTF texts are, after importing, CMYK in Publisher. If I import a .DOCX file then it is 100% black. Is there anyone here who know to get the .RTF text directly imported in 100% black in Publisher?
  7. @Lagarto Thanks for replay! Indeed it is confusing that the blacks greyscale palette in Publisher are in RGB :-( ... The only 100% kelvin colors standing in the yellow circle. I hope they changes it into real 100 K in newer versions of Publisher.
  8. @Peejee: When you Place the .rtf and .docx files, are you (a) Placing them into Text Frames that you've created, or are you (b) Placing them directly onto a page and letting Publisher create the Text Frame for you? I placing them directly onto a page and letting Publisher create the Text Frame. But also placing them into Text Frames. It is always CMYK text in .RTF. That not really cool when you create a 84 pages magazine... @ Haakoo: Bedankt voor de tip, kon het zo snel niet vinden in het forum. @ Haako: Thanks for the tip, I could not find it so quickly in the forum.
  9. Affinity Photo: How can I change a Black en White photo in RGB or CMYK settings?( In Photoshop I do change "Modus between Greyschale/RGB/CMYK) Ik can't find it in Affinity Photo.
  10. I would appreciate it if there was more diversity in the framework lines. As far as I know there is now only the possibility to choose a dotted line.
  11. Is there anyone who can tell me how I get the text 100% black in the PDF while I export in Affinty Publisher. Every PDF I make with the standard setting is fully CMYK including the text.(overprint black change nothing)
  12. Hi, I am just working on a new standard iMac 27 inch (2019 model quad core) with 8 GB and fusion drive. It works very fast with al the new Affinity products. My old Macbook Pro with SSD drive and 16 GB do also a good job but the iMac is faster. (I mostly work in Affinity publisher and Affinity Photo)
  13. Thank you very much! Now it s working fine :-)
  14. In Indesign you can import text styles from your Word document to your Indesign document. This allows you to import text directly in the right font / size. (Typograms) In Publisher I also make text styles and it works fine too. I only must click each text manually in the 'text styles' menu. That is a lot of mouse clicking when creating a magazine. Because it does not happen automatically. Maybe I missed something in Publisher?
  15. Hi Thomaso, Did you also try it with you're document saved as .RTF? For me it gives the best results. . (no .doc or docx format)
  16. Thanks for welcome and reply! @ Walt Indeed it works as you said above. But editors in Word have not that kind of font collection that I have. This editors mostley have not that font typical choice that I wil use. In Indesign it is possible to Import Word.docx files with textstyles. For example in Word made with the Times font or something else. But after importing in Indesign I used a Typogram that I made with the same name. But this typogram (textstyle) that I edited can also use another font and more, That what I like about this function in Adobe Indesing. It is hard to explain for me to discripe this question in English, I'm sorry.. I hope you understand what I mean... As far as I hear, at this place, it is not possible in Publisher at the moment. Maybe in the future. I hope so. And I must say, I am so happy with this new software! Thanks for that Affinity!

  18. Can anyone tell me how to do this in Publisher? (See video from Indesign) A simple video would be great. :-) Allign with one bullit.mov
  19. Hai walt.farrel, Thanks, ik try to figure it out. But i don't understand it yet. I uses this function in Indesign very often that why its important to me. (command+backslash in the textbox in Adobe Indesign) Is het possible to make a short video how you do it?
  20. I always used FontExplorer for my Adobe App's. But for Serif App's I used Rightfont 5. It works very wel with all the Serif software include Publisher include Auto Activation. :-)
  21. I would like to align the text behind one bullet. But in such a way that I can make a text box smaller any time without jumping all the text. (no Tabs) In Adobe Indesign, this works through: Apple Key + backslash. Is this option also available in Publisher?
  22. Hi there Just bought all the software to try it out. Great work and it works just fine. The function to open (Indesign) PDF's is verry cleaver to! :-) But I mis one handy tool from Indesign. And that's the Pipet function. Is it possible to copy text styles just as Indesign it does with the pipet function?
