RedBeard reacted to EmT in Brush shape flipping
Hi @RedBeard
I have passed this over to our devs for further investigation.

RedBeard got a reaction from Paul Mudditt in Brush shape flipping
Turning off the rotation dynamics removes core characteristics of the brush (Sort of like fixing a flat tire by just removing the wheel). A brush that has its shape tied to pencil angle is critical to hand lettering for example.
I showed another app with a brush who’s shape rotation is linked to pencil angle because in the past I was told this was a flaw in how Apple Pencil data is processed by the iPad. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

RedBeard reacted to dmtp14 in genuine vector brushes
AD ipad needs more genuine vector brushes...we all know there are only a few (to my knowledge and by info of Affinity support two) of the so called vector brushes indeed vectors...

RedBeard reacted to Bowzer in Export Selected Or Entire Projects Folder
Hey there @serif, it would be great to have the option to export selected or entire projects folder, similar to using the export persona. At the moment you have to export each one individually and this can take time.

A Glyph picker is desperately needed for professionals using the iPad app

RedBeard reacted to Sean P in Brush Rotation Glitch
Hi RedBeard,
Thanbks for letting us know - this is an issue we're aware of. Essentially when the rotation goes from 359deg back to 0 (the 3 o clock position) it instead going the wrong way and cycling back to 0 instead of continuing the same direction. This causes the little glitch you're seeing.
I will get your comments passed on over to development and get it bumped with them.

RedBeard reacted to Montecristo in Google drive! Cant save, again....
I am an absolute fan of all the affinity products:
but This issue drives me crazy!
With ICloud-Drive save and open affinity files works perfect on the ipad.
But not with google drive, which is my main platform for files.
PLEASE Affinity give a solution for this!!!

RedBeard reacted to Pšenda in Export preview
Sorry, but isn't it always better to check before buying what the thing/program actually does? This can be found on the forum, possibly with a trial version.

RedBeard reacted to HarleyN in Hybrid subscription plan
You should move to a hybrid subscription plan. Offer the software as you do now for a flat outright fee but also implement a low subscription like $4.95month for continued software upgrades. The casual user will be happy to pay the flat fee and the professional market (like myself) would not bat an eye at paying a low subscription for continued advancement of the software. I think your product has reached the tipping point to really take a piece of the professional market. But funding your team to handle it would probably be helpful.

RedBeard reacted to Alfred in Sync Everything
You only need to install fonts in one of the apps. It would be nice if the same applied to brushes and styles.

You are right! I must have been doing something wrong when I tried this before. 🤦♂️

RedBeard reacted to tallrob in What will the the next Affinity program?
I have to say I don't understand this type of response. Successful companies grow by adding products to their lineup in addition to improving existing ones all the time. They also grow by acquiring existing packages and rebranding them to fit their lineup. This attitude of "please don't add what other people need, just improve what I already have" is shortsighted. Serif is squarely aimed at competing with Adobe, which is their only chance of long term survival. They need to be doing what Adobe does, better and cheaper. So far so good, but asking them to stop short of a 1:1 parity in product offering is shortsighted.
That means Serif should develop (or acquire) video editing, special effects and DAM programs to complete their lineup. Affinity is nothing if not a lifeline for folks drowning in the Adobe model.

RedBeard reacted to DM1 in Did I Just Lose All My Documents?
If you were saving to the apps folder in iCloud they will still be there. If you saved them to the apps folder on your iPad, (ouch) you've lost them. Deleting the app removes the folder on iPad but not on iCloud. Unless you made a recent backup of your iPad?
Personally I use Documents by Readdle and set up a File/folder structure then save my files to that location. This way I can have sub folders and name them to suit.
