But after the workaround is all how it should to be. I guess, there are some marks/tags in the afdesign-File which can't read correctly.

Hello,
Since Version 1.9.1 I have problems to place *.afesign-Files inside my publisher-Files. Formerly the *.afdsign-Files have had the artbox-Size. Now, it has the Size of my page (why?). Even if I change document vers. artbox, the result are the same.

Ah, ok. Now I understand. Thank all for their help.

My problem is not the export of pdf. It is working inside affinity publisher beta. Why doesn't open the pdf when I doubleclicking it? Is "transfer" always rasterized in Publisher?
-
Double-Click doesn't open the pdf and "transfer" shows rasterized letters.
-
Ah, ok. My problem is more when I import a pdf (exported in quarkxpress) than I see rasterized letters in affinity publisher beta.
-
Hi @Gabe
where can I see the pdf "preset" (german version)?
-
Not here. When I choose "transfer" the pdf is rasterized. When I choose interpretate (german) I see it better.
But a doubleclick inside the pdf does not open it any more. No problem with 1.8, no possibility to open it in beta 1.9.920
-
Yes, this solved the problem. Very strange, indeed.

I found the two files, which cause the problems. They are pdfs (made by QuarkXpress) and the are each around 18 MB big (to big)? Or is the problem, that the first pdf have two sides?
BTW: Thank you for the help and thank you for publisher. I love this software!
-
That is really strange. Because, if I rename all files inside the Hölzel folders, I can start and use this Document without a problem.
I doesn't change any other file, document, etc. outside Hölzel-folder.
I don't know how the screen recording. But I just open the file, wait some seconds and it crash.
-
Me, too, I am very confused.
I changed the document settings form linked to embedded (in this already big file). I am not sure if than crash the file immediately or after the next start. But since this time, during loading the files into the document It crashes bevor all files are loaded.
I think, the document hasn't embedded all files yet. If I start with the original name, the document try to embed this files, failed and crashed. If I rename this folder, it can't load the missing/changed files and just show the files it have already put inside (maby it is just a part of the file)?
I can start to rename file for file to finde the problem pdf? -
But the other images doesn't cause the crash. If I rename the folder "00 hoelzel" into "xx 00 hoelzel" no crash. Original name: crash.
-
beta 920: Still crashing.
-
Edit: Uploading (maybe not all included files, but the other files doesn't crash Affinity).
I found the folder with causes the problems (inside are imported pdfs): \00 Hölzel
Maybe this is a help or hint.
-
I can solve the problem if I change the name of the folder -> stop Publisher to pick different images.
If the ressources are linked: no crashes;
if the ressources are embedded: crash (maybe some pdfs).
-
Hi @Gabe
No, it crash as a special document importing (changed it to prefer include (german "einbetten") images). After this every start this special document crash.
Other documents work fine.
-
Reportsfolder is empty. It seems, it crashes to fast.
-
Current version crashes, after I import a image inside the document every time during loading the afpub, so I can't load the document anymore. So, I am waiting for the next version. 😊
-
Ah, thank you anyway, I have the 1.9 beta (for pdf import). I'll try this.
Yesss! 😁 This is the solution. Perfect, thank you all for the help. Affinity Publisher put this feature already in beta-version 1.9. It works perfect!
-
I try to make it, how you said, but inside the ankers I just see page 1; page 2-3; page 4-5...

@WolframH, thie QXP list feature isn't available in APub.
The QXP list feature is akin to MS Word's Navigation panel. It can be used for both TOCs, pdf bookmarks etc., as well sa jumping to varios locations withing a document.
Yes, Word has it too.
Ok, so there is just the hyperlink-method. Thank you all, for your help. Maybe Affinity-Team can put something similar inside the publisher?

Good Questions: First, for me as Publisher during working. Creating content for school is never finished, it is always in a flow.
But if in the document later (pdf), for navigation would be good to; but this I can make with table of content, right?

Is there a plan to build editable, fillable Forms for pdf-Export. This would be a huge help.
