Thanks for the update and thanks for the helpful service you do for this community.
I know that the page is not Affinity's but many of the links point towards Affinity's website and it seems that it has removed all resources. Why is that?
-
I noticed that Affinity has removed a lot of the resources (brushes, styles, macros, etc.) from its website. Many of the links on this resource list (http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/resources/) give a 404 error. What happened to these resources and why were they removed?

As I understand it, StudioLink in Publisher only works if you update all apps to the same version.

As time goes by you might discover other goodies that come in handy.

Seems like another reason to own the whole suite but even then I find it frustrating sometimes where to find the right tool for a job. It will take some time, I guess. :-)

Go to View/Studio/Text Frame and give the frame a stroke.

2. When dragging a layer down keeping your cursor in the space to the left of the layer icons will prevent you accidentally creating a child layer - it's just a learning curve
Nice to know. Thanks.

For Calibri go to: https://www.rmtweb.co.uk/calibri-and-cambria-fonts-for-mac.
For Bauhaus go to: https://www.wfonts.com/font/bauhaus.

You're in the Table Tool and when the cursor is no longer hovering over the table, its edit mode changes into the table-creation mode again. Makes sense to me as it 'thinks' that you're ready to create another table.

When exporting (File/Export) a document, choose the desired format (PDF, JPEG, PNG etc.) in the Export Settings dialog and in the 'Area' dropdown select 'All Pages'.
-
Just select the blue object in the Layers panel and drag & drop it right under the red object.
-
I can't reproduce that (Windows version). As long as the Transform Origin option is selected, I can move the object around with the origin point staying visible.
-
You can link images rather than embed them. Go to Documents/Resource Manager.
Edit: Oops, I may have spoken to soon. This option is available in Publisher but possibly not in Designer.

Using Windows 10. Now flowing text is selected on all pages. Perhaps the latest update took care of this (1.7.1.404).

You can increase and decrease the size of a brush by using the [ and ] keys.

Also, I couldn't rotate the brushes
Use the left and right arrow keys to rotate the brush nozzle. You can do this before and during applying the brush.

I click on: alt + (lmb+rmb at the same time) and it gives me good and easy control. I don't have to click on rmb first then lmb. But I still prefer using alt+rmb only.
For tablet users, try holding alt+rmb then press the pen and drag. This might work.
You can use left [ and ] brackets to change the size of the brushes.

Got it. Thanks.

In the first image it shows that you're not working on the master page. That's why the picture frame doesn't have the editable selection handles nor the option to paste as content. You need to double-click on the masterpage icon to be able to select and edit it.
