  1. What about place a separate shape behind the text frame and group them?
  2. The approach I mentioned requires the printer to be connected to the computer. If you export your booklet to a PDF file, select in the Export Settings All Pages (not: All Spreads). However, it will only work if the printer has imposition software to be able to print your file in booklet format.
  3. You actually can print booklets from within Affinity as it imposes the pages correctly. The example shown on the screenshot has an A5 booklet (12 pages) printed on A4 paper. Of course your printer should be able to handle double-sided printing. By the way: Red overlays on the preview indicate that there is something wrong with the settings but these show in various cases when everything is okay -- apparently it's a bug that already has been logged.
  4. I prefer to see all images, as well as their sizes immediately when I scroll through the Resource Manager. I understand you would like the RM as compact as possible but I want to have an overview of the resources and, thus, prefer an expanded panel. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.
  5. With the picture frame selected, select the Fill Tool and, in the Context Toolbar select 'Bitmap' from the dropdown menu, select the image you want to use as a fill and adjust the placement handles in the picture frame until you have achieved the fill you're after.
  6. Make sure you select the Node Tool when moving through the history of firstdefence's design file.
  7. Instead of pressing ESC you can also click outside the page and then press the spacebar to drag around the page.
  8. Turn on snapping (use the magnet icon on the menu bar and select the appropriate options by clicking the little triangle next to it) and with the Move Tool move the table until you see the vertical green line (horizontal center) and/or the horizontal red line (vertical center). These lines extend beyond the page's edges to distinguish them from the shorter snapping lines of other objects that you might have already placed on your page.
  9. I knew that, I was only messing with Chris. You guys do amazing work and it's really appreciated! Thank you!
  10. I installed the Dreamscript font and it's exceptionally dainty (if that's the right word for it), indeed making it rather difficult to discern the individual glyphs. Another script font, such as Bonbon, is more robust, even the light version. Anyway, I agree that it would be nice to up the glyph size more that is possible at present.
  11. Click on the little hamburger menu at the top right of the glyph panel and select the size you want for optimal readability .
  12. In the Windows version of APhoto the Refine button is missing from the context toolbar for the Flood Selection Tool. It's there for the other selection tools.
  13. Oops, indeed I misspoke, confusing the different Apple OS. Sorry about that.
  14. On the download page (https://fotosketcher.com/download-fotosketcher/) is a link to the Mac version (at the bottom).
  15. Thank you for the Spotlight link, Miguel, there's quite some interesting stuff there. I'm searching for app resources because I find them useful as importing and playing with them help me get a better feel for Affinity's apps. A resource page on Affinity's website with samples would be quite helpful.
