  1. Thank you for the styles, Martin! Very nice!
  2. I just saw that there's a sale going on for Affinity Designer tutorials here: https://www.udemy.com/affinity-designer-the-complete-guide-to-affinity-designer/. I've no experience with this company but the package and the price look pretty good.
  3. Thanks for the templates, v-kyr, much appreciated!
  4. Yes, you could consider the "?" as a tautology but my experience is that when you say "at a later date" it only triggers the question, "Do you know when?" I tried to answer the question before it was posed.
  5. "at a later(?) date" as in "not clear when that would be"?
  6. Bookmarks are not yet possible but will be included at a later (?) date.
  7. Did you try to right-click the layer in the layer panel and select 'Ungroup' (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+G)?
  8. I take it that you export your publication to PDF. In the export setting, (File/Export/Export Settings) select "All Pages" in the Area box (and not "All Spreads"). Issuu will present it in booklet form.
  9. Thanks for the additional information. Yes, I saw the other thread and posted in it. I wonder why the developers are not pitching in to explain their approach to this issue.
  10. Looking at Fixx's example in that thread, I understand his argument and I mentioned this in my earlier post: "Only make sure that graphics do not border the fold." But, in those cases that they do, if you set the inner bleed to 0 in APub, how would you allow for enough space for cutting variances? Just hoping to learn...
  11. Why would you want to export the publication as pages (not spreads) and have the inner bleed set to 0 for facing pages?
  12. In Designer I would place a color-filled rectangle behind a transparent text frame and then group the two so both can be resized if necessary and the background color can be changed.
  13. That must have taken you some creative planning and execution! Kudos!
  14. When you have a set up with facing pages and want to export to PDF, select 'All Pages' (instead of 'All Spreads') from the 'Area' dropdown in the 'Export Settings' dialog. This will automatically add bleed (taken from the opposite page) to the fold-side of the opposite page. Only make sure that graphics do not border the fold.
  15. Thank you 'PixelBest'! (although 'VectorBest' might be more appropriate in this case)
  16. I must have misunderstood you, I thought you were mentioning the absence of a tool to tile images in a shape: "There's no easy way (that I've found) to automatically tile an image inside an Affinity Photo workspace outside of a vector shape fill, nor to paint with one as a seamless pattern with a pixel brush."
  17. Thanks for the unclipping tip. Indeed, clipping after unclipping doesn't return the canvas size to its original dimensions as it has now taken on the size of the picture.
