  1. Help! I just bought the full package of version 2. Performing a simple operation of text layer over a graphic layer, works fine in version 1, but the same operation in version 2 strikes out the graphic. NB this does not seem to happen with other graphics, so maybe it is something to do with my graphic.
  2. Only with your help, Sir. I like Publisher ( especially its price) , but there are a number of quirks in the interface that I need to get used to. Very best regards.
  3. Gosh I am so sorry. I didn't read what you bothe were saying about clicking the label and not the click box. This seems rather strange, but I can certainly live with it. Many thanks indeed to you both and sorry for wasting your time.
  4. In fact, all of the tools in this fx panel just cause the gaussian blur option to automatically select and all I get is gaussian blur. Non of the additional options ever appear, such as offset etc.
  5. If I select outer shadow, the gaussian blur button automatically selects itself, and all I get is a gaussian blur. I expect to see what you do and get similar in affinity designer, but not in publisher. I have version 1.7.1 from the apple store. Do you have the same version? NB many thanks for your help
  6. I'm on a mac- the tool appears, but won't do anything but a gaussian blur of the text itself. In designer you can apply various drop shadows to the text without changing the actual text itself.
  7. When using affinity publisher, I have tried to use the layer fx tool to add drop shadow to a layer of text. It doesn't seem to work at all as expected. I have got round this by using the similar tool in affinity designer to add the drop shadow, and copy and paste the text into publisher, which worked fine. However, surely the tool should work in the same way in publisher? Drop shadow text is really essential to me. NB in Quark Xpress, drop shadow is a simple press of a button.
