Can't use "Save As Package".
After the first dialogue where i can define what to pack and press button to start packaging the dialogue ends.
A sound come like "you can't press any button"/ other actions blocked. In a logical way there have to be a finder window to define name and place where to pack, but there is none visible.
Publisher is not frozen and not crashed but no actions are possible - including abort. The only way is a forced shut-down of publisher via alt+cmd+esc.
System:
OSX 10.12.6
Mac 27"/2014maybe interesting: two Displays, multiple "Desktops" (all empty)

1. Update Affinity Designer.
2. Update Affinity Photo.
3. Install Affinity Publisher (if you haven't already.)
4. Open/close Affinity Designer, post-update.
5. Open/close Affinity Photo, post-update.
6. Run Affinity Publisher.
Many Thanks to Steven.

I have the same Problem and Question.
May must know: Designer is from Apples App-Store and Publisher fron Affinity-Web-Store.
I think there is a communication "problem", but what are the solutions to connect? Can i register App-Store bought products at affinity store? That could be a solution.

Hello,
after successfully resetting the applications, the packaging worked as expected. After I had adapted the application to my wishes and needs again, the already described errors occurred repeatedly. My assumption that the "modular mode" could be related to the problem has been confirmed.
If the application is running as closed application window the packaging works as expected. When the modular display mode is switched on, the error described occurs and can therefore also be reproduced.
