  1. Had an issue, but sorted it out, I think.
  2. Oh my gosh, you all came through for me! I know it's unbelievably basic, but I'm learning things bit by and bit and can only get so much off YouTube. I'm sorry - I neglected to mention what I'm using - I'm working with PNG files in Affinity Designer. Your comments and the video are exactly what I need - thank you! I'm going to work on this now and see if I can finally get this. Cathy
  3. Trying to, as I practice on this, select the blue flower and move it to the inside of the round design.
  4. I've learned to use the selection tool - I have many files that have multiple graphics on them, so I need to be able to select one or more, then move it to the page I'm working on. Once it's selected and the moving dotted lines are going I cannot move the object - the whole file is usually selected, so the whole thing moves, rather than the one object I've selected. I know this is a ridiculously basic question for most of you, but I need to figure this out. I scrap digitally and this is one of the most important skills I need to master. Thanks so much for any help provided. Cathy Mason
  5. Didn't think to post how I figured it out. Part of it the problem (the line ended up showing up several times eventually) was due to the comment above. It was also the tiniest of remnants of a text box I was messing up. Occasionally, when I hovered the cursor over it I would see purple or yellow, which didn't make any sense to me. I finally saw that I could see it as a layer and was able to delete that layer, which made the line go away.
  6. I'm slowly learning AD - I want to learn how to digitally scrap and just couldn't figure out how to use AP. This is MUCH better. I have a great deal to learn yet, but...baby steps. I've attached a small screenshot of my problem today - I think it's left over from a text box or lining something up. I've undone actions, tried to delete it, and tried to erase it. When I click on it the whole photo/layer gets selected. Ideas??
