Vielen Dank Komatose - all the suggested videos are excellent, except that they all seem to start at the understanding the trainee knows about basic Publishing before hand. I need something that explains all the choices available and the settings I need to achieve an outcome. A complete dummies (attrapen) guide.

OK. I have had al the affinity suite since it launched with the express intention of learning how to use it one day. As ever that “one day” has come faster than expected. So can anyone recommend a book or resource covering publisher 2. Preferably one that starts with the premise of. ”so you haven’t got a clue where to start or what anything means” the online help at serif whilst very good somehow always gravitates to you already knowing what publishing is and what the tools or the publishing terminology means. Any advice welcome as I have been volunteered at 69 years of age to produce a booklet for a mental health and well being art group. Thanks in advance

Hi Guys as any new forum members tends to be I am somewhat overwhelmed by the forum content to date, so forgive me is this question has been asked before.
I also use Photoshop CS6 and have a veritable smorgasbord of resources such as brushes, fonts, vector graphics, shapes swatches etc and was wondering which if any can be imported into Affinity Designer and Photo.e.g. should I / can I use TTF fonts or OTF fonts. I have never used Adobe Illustrator so not totally au fait with all the terminology. Any advice welcome
