    my first steps with AD

One of my first posts in this forum, a long time ago - to be precise from the year 2015 (May). Much has happened since then, and I still like to be in the forum. I've received many statements and opinions that have often helped me too.Thank you;-)
  6. Hey Folks, this is my first attempt at using affinity designer. I really love drawing in vectors, all my works are 100% (pure) vector illustrations, and now I'm glad I found AD - an awesome tool … think we're getting married ;)
  7. My new book cover design tutorial (Search The Woods) is part of the new Affinity Photo Workbook Hope my work is helpful and lets many people get creative. http://b-bertuleit.de/tutorial-fuer-affinity-photo-workbook https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/workbook/
  8. The book cover design is often about complex compositions and photomontages. With its powerful tools and many advanced features, Affinity Photo enables me to work optimally within a clear workflow. When it comes to image editing, Affinity Photo is my first choice.
  9. I've added some pics about the development of the painting
  10. Simply an oil portrait, without much editing. Photographed from the canvas, some contrast settings made with Affinity Photo, that's all. Looking forward to feedbacks TNX http://b-bertuleit.de/oil-painting/
  11. Another spectacular find, this time on Mars http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-project-mars-mission/
  12. Following the discovery project in the new Affnity Photo Workbook I put the scene on the earth moon. Something spectacular was found ... http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-project-moon-mission/
  13. Based on the Discovery Project in the new Affnity Photo Workbook, I placed the scene on one of the four main moons of Jupiter. I'm a fan of Stanley Kubrick, 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the best science fiction movies ever. No further monolith was found in this cave, but something very spectacular. There is also a wonderful view http://b-bertuleit.de/discovery-jupiter-mission/
  14. For this work (Affinity Photo) I used two free pics from Pixabay (now added to the post). The astronaut is included in Affinity's project folder (Discovery).
  15. Well-known theme well reworked, great
  16. New book cover design for the story/novella "Das kleine Stück Himmel" (Little Piece Of Heaven) by Alex Beltheim. Created with Affinity Photo, using various layer effects and the artistic text tool. Snow and blood are made with different spray paint brushes. http://b-bertuleit.de/buchcover-design-das-kleine-stueck-himmel/

    Little Piece Of Heaven

@gdenby, I know what you mean. However, in the story (of the book) it fits very well, the cover without sky is also interesting. I don't think that a book cover must always conform to the title. It's must looking good and draw attention to the book. "About something more like a mound of snowcrank from hell..." That's not completely wrong ...

New vector drawing: Julee (Affinity Designer) http://b-bertuleit.de/julee/
  22. bodobe

Hi Max N, I needed about 5 - 7 hours for "Julee" (Unfortunately, I do not remember exactly), including the presentation. The eyes took up most of the time, they are the most important parts of the graphics. Maybe it can be made faster, but I like to take my time
