  1. Problem now solved. It seems Hardware Acceleration was not compatible with my Intel HD Graphics 4600.
  2. Have used several (ordinary) fonts. All give same reaction. 3. Last action was using the Artistic Text tool. I have tried this again many times and the program shuts down without warning (or goes into irrecoverable "Not Responding").
  4. Attempting to create simple two-page spread with text boxes and image. Program stops - "Not Responding" - and will not recover.
  5. Unstable version. Program either crashes without warning or goes into endless "not responding" mode.
  6. That is the correct way to use an em dash. Very rarely would you use spacing before or after. It is not a hyphen and it is not "joining" those two words. Alternatively, use space, en dash, space. Check out en dash and em dash rules on Wikipedia or a grammar/punctuation website.
  7. "I create a new frame. Still several lines, meaning if I place text frame on page (top to bottom of page), the text starts half way down on the page." Is the Text -->> Vertical Alignment set to centre instead of top?
