It would be nice to be able to set the default units, and units of rulers, text, stoke, etc. independently. When working on files that I previously did in Illustrator, it always opens them up with pixels as the unit of measurement.
Although I like my rulers in inches, I like to work with text and strokes in mm. I am able to do that in illustrator and works great for my workflow.

Didn't know about the corner tool. Still so used to using Illustrator...

Is there a way you can round the corners of an object? Preferably with a specific radius? I did find the one box to add rounded corners, but it will only list a percentage. Some items I make need a specific radius.

That is what I did for now. Works good, but I will try out the Assets way too.
I run a sign/graphics shop, and using Illustrator forever, so I am trying to get the things I need for that setup in Designer.

Can you create a default for a set of symbols that will always be available?

Can you change the default measurement for stroke, type, etc. so that it's not points? I would prefer it to be in mm.

I am not totally fluent with the terms, but I think it actually works more like a script if that makes a difference. Of course, what I am using was written for Illustrator, so I don't know all of the technical details.

In Illustrator, I had a plugin that would add the registration marks I need for using the large cutter/router I use in my graphics shop. Is there a way to use these plugins in Designer? This is a very key component to be able to fully switch to Designer.

Is there a way to easy resize an artboard to an object? Coming from Illustrator, if you used the artboard tool and double clicked an object, it would size the artbaord to that specific object. I am wondering if Designer has this function?

I just starting to use Designer, coming form Illustrator. I do wide format printing. Part of that is having specific names spot colors to perform certain functions when printing and cutting. Is there a way to do that?

YES!!! Please make Astute Graphics plugins available/compatible with Affinity Designer! I use them a lot and one of the few things keeping me using Illustrator.
