Sorry, my fault. I didn't recognize that the Screenshoot from Clipboard is an Image Layer and not a Pixel Layer. Thank you!

Hello, I have a question regarding the use of the Duplicate Selection Tool in combination with a Clipboard Image. Normal and expected behaviour: 1. Open an Image 2. Select an Area with Marquee Tool 3. Duplicate Selection -> New Layer with the selected Area only Using a Clipboard Image: 1. New from Clipboard [OR] New and Paste Clipboard 2. Select an Area with Marquee Tool 3. Duplicate Selection -> New Layer with the whole Image (Selection is ignored) Same problem with Copy and Paste of a selected Area. Seems like a bug. Or is this behaviour intended? If so, why?
