Layer palette useless in special situations

Smallersen posted a topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on Desktop

Hi, PTGui output comes as shown in attached image in layer palette, side by side with Photoshop layer palette. Layer palette in Affinity is useless for orientation what is in the layers. Pixel display in layer palette should be switchable to show all pixel without masking! Or did I miss the switch somewhere?
