Hi creatorsite, Affinity Designer is for vector drawing/text & Affinity Photo is for raster image manipulation. Having said that, Affinity Designer is a hybrid app with pixel based features as well. Affinity Photo also works seamlessly with Affinity Designer, in that the vector components are retained sharp & can keep their sharpness when scaled. The thing that determines the jaggedness or otherwise is what resolution at print size you choose for any file export (preferably between 150 - 300 dpi). I have both Designer & Photo, which I highly recommend you to purchase. Paul.

Hi Thomas, It may be an idea to contact Apple Support as well. Your i7 5K iMac should perform better, not worse. Other than the i5 having a lesser cpu & graphics card, it seems to me that your i7's graphics card may just be malfunctioning (assuming your other components are optimal). Paul.

What version Freehand are you using, Al Catullo? Maybe adding .fhx (x is the version number) might help.

Hi Colin, With regard to boat anchors, would you hold the same opinion of Photoshop® or The Gimp because they do not have the Aperture feature you like? Have you tried the Feature Request link I mentioned? Paul.

Hi Colin, Perhaps you can suggest what you want in Feature Requests, I don't know of any other group of commercial software devs who are so keen to please. As far as refunds go, it would be through Apple as your purchase is from the App Store — Check your emailed receipt from Apple. Paul.
