PDF export
Paul Bravery replied to bodobe's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi Bodo B, I believe the latest Betas do. Check them out. Paul. -
Thanks, Rosa! :D BTW, the PDF is almost half the size it would have been if I'd exported it from the MAS version of AD!

Hi Hokusai, They are in the current MAS version as well. ;) Paul. -
Here's the Dropbox link to my AD Beta file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nvrd9tgvnzpds2x/CRGNZ0815_Cover-Beta.afdesign?dl=0

This was originally designed by me in InDesign/Photoshop, ISSUU link here: https://issuu.com/jasonproductsltd/docs/crgnz0815_nz___australia___asia_201?e=0 I have produced just the front cover in the latest Affinity Designer Beta (1.3.5.1) — better file compression in the AD file & much improved PDF export settings, great work devs! :D Oops, I'll have to share the AD file later with a link! When full pre-press features come in, it will be great! In the mean time, I made the canvas size 20mm larger than the A4 trim size to accommodate my hand drawn trim marks with a 'bleed' mask for the background image. Also, the background image was edited in AP — RAW dev, sharpening, additional lighting effects. Affinity just keeps getting better!

Huge improvement, keep up the good work! :D I'll post a file & a PDF on "Share your work" I made in this Beta, based on a job I did recently in InDesign & Photoshop… -
Path to Selection workflow in Photo
Paul Bravery replied to cekuhnen's topic in Older Feedback & Suggestion Posts
Thanks, MEB. When I noticed this, as a workaround, I immediately duplicated the path layer so that I could convert it to a selection without losing the original path. I then hid the path layer when I had no further use for it. That is how I produced my avatar that I use in this forum. Paul. -
