  1. I was hoping that Nikon NEF HE* files would be supported in the newest version. No such luck 😒. When will these files be supported as I usually shoot in this format Regards, Spara
  2. Hello SirDragonDrop, As I said in my original post, the problem only occurred when I used my Wacom tablet and Windows Ink was enabled. Disabling Windows Ink cured the problem and I have had no re-occurence of the problem. However, I have not checked whether crashpad_handler.exe is running in the background. If this program lives up to its description, it shouldn't be. Not sure if this helps but if you are using Windows Ink it might be worthwhile disabling it from the control panel withing AP Cheers, Spara.
  3. Further investigation of this problem showed that it only occurred when I was editing using the Wacom pen but not when I was using the mouse. I disabled Windows Ink in the preferences dialogue and the problem seems to have disappeared. Hope that helps any others who have encountered the same problem. Cheers, Spara
  4. I'm using AP version 1.8.3.641. My computer is running Windows 10 Home 10.0.18363 Build 1863. The computer has an Intel I7-7700 CPU with 16gB RAM. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 with v 44587 driver. I also have a Wacom Intuos PTS with driver v6.3.38-2. The display is a Dell UP2516D with the appropriate display manager installed. I am currently working my way through the Grilled Cheese Pull exercise in the AP Workbook. When I select the sandwich and try to refine the edges of the sandwich, the system sometimes crashes (hangs) and the mouse is inoperable. This effect seems to be random. Pressing any of the buttons or menu items with the mouse does not work. However, I can save the work if I use Ctrl-S. If I go to Task Manager using Ctrl-Alt-Del, Affinity shows 2 programs are running; Affinity itself and crashpad_handler.exe. If I terminate Affinity and restart it, I can open the saved document and continue working on it. Annoying but not disastrous. Please help. Sparafucile.
  5. Thanks Chris, I'll do that Cheers Allan
  6. Any news about being able to use Perfectly Clear as a plug-in with AP Chris? With the new versions of AP and/or PC I can send a file to PC from the filter menu and edit it there. Alas, when I return to AP the image is unchanged . Progress but still not very helpful. Regards
  7. Something must have gone wrong when I updated the programme to the current version. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (trying to repair it failed) and everything works fine now. Sorry to go off at half cock. Sparafucuke
  8. I am using Affinity Photo 1.8.3.641 on a Windows 10 computer with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card V 445.78 and a Wacom tablet. Whenever I try to add a Soft Proofing adjustment layer the program hangs and the only way out is to invoke the task manager and abort the program. This happens every time and is independent of the file that I am using (jpg, dng, afphoto, psd). Any ideas why this is happening? Sparafucile
  9. I have just switched from Photoshop to Affinity Photo. The shenanigans at Adobe with a rumoured price hike of 100% and other goings on have completely turned me off PS. So far, I love AP! However, there are a couple of things which i would like to see in a future version of AP. I would gladly pay extra for them! A proper pressure sensitive opacity brush in the Dodge and Burn, and Brush tools. This appears to be already there for size but not opacity. I have read on YouTube about using the Flow Jitter adjustment but it does not appear to do much. Any other suggestions guys? I use a Wacom tablet. Some sort of catalogue which will allow me to tag and keyword my images. Thanks for a great product. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Sparafucile
