Thanks for your reply, don't why guess I was grasping at straws but I changed layers to pixel layer and the brushes were there, they are raster brushes so I guess they don't work in designer persona.Lot to learn Iguess.

I have just down loaded affinity designer trial and when I tried to down load some brushes ie eyebrows it says downloaded but I cannot see them listed in the brushes panel?

I don't know if it supposed to work but when I use the ellipse tool then try to erase part of it with the erase nothing happens ie the ellipse tool lines are still in situe?

Affinity Photo,Fur andHair vector brushes

I am relatively new to AF, I down loaded some vector brushes but cannot see them any were in AF,could some one help and tell me where these brushes are in AF.Sorry if this sounds a stupid question but as I said I am just feeling my way around AF.I have had so much help from people on this site and thank every one.

thanks guys for your replies,walt what do you mean given it a stroke,Gary I can see what you are doing when I make the first ellipse and click to make the the second ellipse the first one disappears so I cannot put it inside my first ellipse, sorry if I sound a bit stupid but this is the first time I have used photo editing software.another problem I have is when I click on colours /boxes nothing like the colour boxes on your screen show on mine.

I am trying to put an ellipse inside an ellipse but when I try this the first ellipse disappears?why does this happen and what do I do to solve the problem. regards ray

Has any one had problems with the huion tablet working with affinity photo, the reason I am asking is I cannot get the pen to work with affinity photo although all indications show the tablet is connected and the small light at the top of the tablet lights up when the pen is hovered above the tablet suggesting that the pen is recognised.

Thanks Walt farrell I have now got the items in my assets honestly don't know how I did this because when I followed your instructions nothing seemed to be happening so I closed af, then I thought I would try again and when I opened assets again they were all there, can only sumise I was not being patient enough in waiting for them to appear in the assets.Thank you once again for your help.

Could some one please explain how to download the xmas silhouettes into af photo as when I download them they show up as a block and not individual snow flakes.

I don't know if you read my original post about inpainting not working but one of the suggestions to try was to rasterize the image you have opened then try the inpainting tool

I had a problem with the inpainting tool after I installed Catalina tried all the suggestions that were put forward in the end I uninstalled AFP and reinstalled it that cured the problem

I had a problem with AFP after installing Catalina ie the inpainting brush tool stopped working, after I uninstalled AFP and did a fresh install every thing worked ok, so maybe you need to do the same.
