I am running AD 2.2.1 on a M1 iPad Pro - Developer Beta 17.1 RC (the same issue was present pre beta) I also have the same lag issue and hope my input helps pin down the problem. I have 265 fonts loaded direct from Adobe Creative Cloud into iPadOS settings and this doesn’t cause any lag at all of which can be seen in the screenshot. The problem seems to start when I load fonts direct into the AD software straight from iCloud and these comprise of free and purchased fonts from various sites. I have found that I can have approx one hundred of these fonts loaded and I don’t suffer any lag in the font picker but then when I have loaded more, approx 150+ fonts from iCloud that’s when the lag seems to start. If I delete all fonts in the AD software then solely use the fonts that are loaded into iPadOS settings from Adobe Creative Cloud the problem goes away but on the downside to that I have also found that the fonts loaded through Adobe Creative Cloud straight into the iPadOS settings page don’t initially work, When you select one of the fonts in AD they will show as a default font and the text name in the font selector will be red. If you leave the text selected then close out of the software with a swipe up then re-open and re select the font that didn’t show it will now be okay. This obviously is a pain as the same has to be done to any font that has been loaded that way to get them to work. I have added a screen shot of this issue and during that you will see no lag when I use 265 fonts from the iPadOS, the issue seems to happen when loading fonts direct in to the AD software. I use the iPad either standalone, mounted to a Magic Keyboard and an Apple Pencil 2 and the issue happens in any combination. Hope this helps? RPReplay_Final1698070693.mp4

Same here, I also had the issue with V1. Now that I’ve upgraded to V2 I deleted the folders associated with V1 and let the app generate new folders when I installed V2 then moved the files back in. This time I have a the new Designer Icon on it’s folder but the Photo folder is blank. I know it’s not the end of the world but its helpful for quick identification.

The latest 1.10.3 update seems to have resolved the issue for me and so far the issue hasn’t occurred even with the file I was working on where it first reared it’s ugly head. Thanks for the prompt action.

@stokerg Thanks! Yes The Apple Pencil 2nd Gen is connected and being used whilst the issue occurs.

Exactly the same is happening to me as well on iPad 12.9. Very simple project and renaming layers, un-checking layers, adding fx all crash the app. Even after saving the file without the app crashing then coming back to it later it opens to a previous state and not at the point where I saved it. App version 1.10.2 iOS version 15.0.2

I have rebuilt the assets library now and exported that to iCloud manually so should this happen again I can bring everything back in as one afassets file as I was unaware that Designer didn’t save these settings automatically. Yes I still have a copy of the afdesign file.

No as when I saved it to the assets panel that’s when it crashed and deleted everything.

Hello Gabe. Thanks for the reply. I don’t have an iMac anymore as I solely work off the iPad Pro and that is all backed up to iCloud. Yes it deleted everything, assets, category’s and sub categories that I had set up apart from the iOS assets the designer software ships with. I had just made a simple cupcake design for a project and was saving that to the assets when it froze for approx 10 seconds then crashed and on restart all assets were gone. I have a 2020 iPad Pro 12.9” running the latest software and Designer is running 1.9.2

I have just come here to report the same! I was just saving a design into the assets panel and everything froze then crashed. On reopening I was faced with the same and all my saved assets and folders are gone from the assets panel. So same here how do we get them back as age present I’m gutted.
