It worked @walt.farrell. It looks like I was exporting from the Macro studio rather than from the Library like you mentioned. Thanks @DM1 for pointing me in the right direction.

That won't work. A .afmacro file has a different format than a .afmacros file. You get a .afmacro file if you export a macro from the Macro studio. You get a .afmacros file when you export from the Library studio.
