I'm also interested in this. I find it useful for making portraits from images, and it would save me a lot of time in my workflow. Does anyone have information on this?

Yes please! I just purchased Affinity Designer, and was very surprised to find there is no trace functionality..

Are there any plans to add support for importing from Pixelmator's .pxm file format? It would be a nice to not have to export to PSD when working between two of my favorite applications. Here is an example .pxm file for your reference (I wasn't allowed to attach it to this post). Thank you for the outstanding application and support!
