    Yes! Thank you very much!
All works fine now those new "sellect same" options are saving me hours of work each week
Keep up the good work guys. I switched my company from Adobe to you and honestly (after some time to get used new environment) I never looked back!

    Hi @IDT Adrian,
My apologies for the delayed reply here!
Under Preferences > User Interface you can disable 'Auto-scroll to show selection in Layers panel' -

Does this resolve your issue in 1.9?

    Hi,
I would like to ask if there is a way to add option to choose temporary files directory
I design walls and scenery for different attraction parks, so the files often have more than 5 meters in print. That said, I work with really large files and to edit them I need quite a lot of free disk space (my cache files in Photoshop have around 40-100 GB). In PS  it wasn't a problem, because I could redirect cache files to my storage disk, but in Photo it just takes over all my SSD space.
I write it here, because I think it could be applied to all your products.
I would really appreciate that change.

    Hi IDT Adrian,

This isn't actually a bug, it is being caused by the rotation on the objects. The group is looking for the edgemost areas of each object and because of the rotation that is getting pushed out. See the attached images. When the object is rotated, the area it occupies is wider, so when everything is grouped, the group has to be bigger than you would expect.

Unfortunately there isn't yet a way to fully reset the transform box if you've rotated an object, however you could always manually create a rectangle Layer > Geometry > Merge Curves and then delete the unneeded rectangle curve object. That should give you an object with a Rotation of 0 which when grouped, won't push the group size out.

You can use styles for that
Create an object. Fill it with fill tool set on "bitmap" and after setting the look to your liking just add a new style

IDT Adrian got a reaction from Sean P in Curvers change position while changing layer order + tool cursor position offset
Actually, if you mention the layers.... I changed the method a bit. Previously I was importing the layer from pdf and the saved file had over 1 mb of size, but this time I created a fresh layer from AD and saved files have mosty less than 100 kb. This time I only imported the curves from the pdf. I hope that helps in any way

I may try to replicate that bug, but it takes few hours to do so... it's hard to justify those hours in working environment, but I think it will come up as soon as I start to write and test automisation for the process.

I have only few images to vectorise so I can record those on the file I started after the "23e" got corrupted. Maybe it will help in any way.

well... yeah.... You just saved me a lot of time and made me regret my life at the same time
Yesterday I added 75 assets one by one...
Anyway,  thank you  You saved me for the future projects.

I work on PC so the Mac functionality would be great. On my projects I rarely use photos or any ready elements straight from the file. 99% of a time I make assets from things I created or modified inside AD so the drag - drop from explorer don't do much for me

@IDT Adrian, I finished the tutorial on how to set up your Photoshop panel workflow in Affinity Photo, along with explaining some additional stuff you can do with panel shortcuts and settings. Sorry for the audio being in only one ear, since it recorded in stereo instead of mono through Nvidia's ShadowPlay (only did my video in one try ).

You already can do that. Just double click on the title of each window and they will be minimized. To get the desired effect, you can undock all the windows so when you click on them, they minimize like they look like menus. Here's a quick demonstration:

    Hi Dev Team,
AP has some nice features/options which we use when editing image, but those are not available when creating macros. i.e. grouping two layers or in Apply Image you can select image/layer, blend mode, opacity, equations when editing, but while recording[and running again] macro only opacity change is available etc... When this will be extended, as currently only simple automation is possible?
    Best regards,
    Greg

    Studio > Panels
When selecting the (huge) characters panel it shows a tiny bit and a scrollbar instead of decreasing the size of the others (like Layers,..) - I have to doubleclick the layers-panel to make it smaller and when using the layers panel again I have to doubleclick the characters panel each time. AD 1.6 was much better, here.
    Masked elements
This is a huge pita - sorry, to say so. In every Adobe app (and others, too) it is so much easier! Please adapt this! I'm talking about:
Resizing the mask without the image resizing the image without the mask (lock children - not a good solution imho) duplicate a masked image with children locked leads to an empty double - logically but absolutely not intuitive/fast why not just doubleclick a masked element to either change its image/content or the mask? So much easier/faster than everything else. Scaling
There is a huge mess imho at the moment (and everywhere) in using shift or not to proportionally scale elements. Please make it consistent either this or that - images are without, shapes are with shift - a UX-calamity. My suggestion: shift = prop. scaling everywhere.
    Shapes
Why not make one Rectangle-tool that always has handles inside near all corners to drag and turn it into a rounded rectangle - Adobe XD has this and you don't believe how incredibly fast this is to work with. Especially when trying out layouts and not be forced to delete a rectangle to replace it with a rounded one.
    Shortcuts
Yes, again: alt/option is substracting, scaling from center and duplicating things by dragging, shift is add, scale proportinally, draw perfectly in horicontal, vertical, diagonal directions. This makes sense and works in all recognized Mac apps the same way. AFAIK there is no such consistency in Windows - so why not set a mark for them, too?
    Export
When in Designer persona and exporting several artboards to a PDF at once there should be a page per artboard, now they are distributed over the pages in a way that makes never ever sense.

Will be nice if will flow up persona for digital drawing, or possible to crate new persona by user and maybe deleting existing one? Will be nice if user can forget to turn on pressure sensitivity every time when open program and go to brush. Auto name layers will be nice addition too. Perspective tools in both photo and designers will be grate too. But love programs ❤️

Like with photoshop and similar tools, when using the paint brush or similar tools, please allow to constrain to x/y axis or other angles when drawing and holding shift. I understand the pen tool is there for straight lines, but when i'm drawing a perspective grid, or working in 1 point or 2 point perspective, switching back and forth between tools, aligning to a grid that I dont even use, then moving the points to where i need them and rasterizing is an extremely daunting process to get a straight, vertical line. When all alternatives software just require me press the shift key, this is an absolute must have and a complete deal breaker for use.

After some time of digging throught the topic I managed to find a way around it which seems to be less invasive.
You can create a symbolic link to a folder on different drive and it seems to work fine with the program (after only a 30 minutes of testing, if it won't work for anyone reading this just reverse the process).
    How to do this:
First of all turn off your Affinity Photo.
    Now:
You need to find command prompt - press start button and type "cmd" Open it as an administrator (black window with some text will show up) Prepare your folder:
Open your file explorer as a directory type %appdata% Find Roaming\Affinity\Photo\ - there should be folders named by the version you are using. In my case "1.0" Leave that window be and open new one to create the folder in which you want to have your temporary files:
open your file explorer and create a folder wherever you with your files to be stored (in my case "E:\Affinity Photo Cache") now enter the folder with affinity version in your %appdata%\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\ - in my case "1.0" copy everything from that folder into the new folder you created elsewhere - in my case I copied %appdata%\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0 to "E:\Affinity Photo Cache" To be safe, make another copy of your %appdata%\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0 and store it somewhere else. Delete the version folder from your %appdata%\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\ - in my case "1.0" folder. (remember the original name of the folder, we'll use it in a second) Now it's time to use command prompt:
Before we go to the command, select full directory to the %appdata% folder you are in and copy it -it should look like C:\Users\[my_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo In your command prompt: Type: mklink /D "[paste the folder directory here and add \(the original name of the folder) at the end]" "[the new folder you created and copied the files into]" - in my case it looked like this mklink /D "C:\Users\[my_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0" "E:\Affinity Photo Cache" Remember about those "" signs on the start and end of every directory. You should see in your command prompt this: symbolic link created C:\Users\[my_user_name]\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0 <<===>> E:\Affinity Photo Cache Done - you are good to go
To read more about symbolic links visit those sites:

https://devtidbits.com/2009/09/07/windows-file-junctions-symbolic-links-and-hard-links/ - what different types of links do

I hope this helps, but in the same time I still wish I had a simple "insert directory" option inside Serif programs
