I opened Publisher this morning and was informed of the new update - I updated and then started work on a partially completed Parish magazine. I have just spent all morning on the document and now it tells me it can't save it. I have tried re-naming the document - it saves but the saved document says it has zero Kb and when I try to open it this is what I get. So please don't tell me I have to to start from scratch. I can see others on here with the same problem - why are you still telling us to upgrade when this has been going on for days? What can I do to salvage my document ????

This is a table in a newsletter which I use every month. This month, every few minutes the program 'not responding' and screen freezes. What is happening???

How do you post that to users of the bought versions? Ive. got 1.7.2471 ?

Ive got 1.7.2 471 I bought them from Serif. I didn't buy the Designer because it looked like something for professionals - too complicated. I'm not finding the programs as user friendly as the PP and Photo Plus and I can't find some of the things I used to used in both programs - Why do they have to change things if they don't improve it for the user.!!! I'm not a professional, I just use the programs (as I did PP and Photoplus) for edition a monthly Parish magazine. I try to put photos in, set it out like a professional magazine but it's really not as intuitive as PP etc. And back to my original question why isn't the purchased program being updated if they are finding that there are things that need to be changed and are doung so I the Beta version???

Thanks for that very helpful response - NOT! I used the Beta version for a trial period and then when they put the new Affinity Publisher and photo and photo on sale I presumed the Beta version would be removed. I believed that it was superior to PP but I am still struggling to find the things I used in PP - just not as user friendly as PP. Very disappointed.

I have bought both these programs and keep seeing updates for the Beta editions. When will MY programs be updated?? Surely if the Beta versions need updates our bought programs need them too?? Thanks

I have two problems with importing PDFs. 1) Fonts are changed and often then the replacement font is too big for the space so the text is squashed. 2) Only part of the PDF is imported - text missing. I edit a Parish Mag with adverts so importing the ads is causing me a lot of problems. I didn't have this problem with Page Plus so why have you changed things??????? Annoying for me and my customers.
