To make a line drawing from a photo I do this: Open the photo, duplicate the layer and with HSL I set the saturation level to 0 so I have a B/W photo. Then I get back to the copied photo layer and set it on color dodge. Next step to invert the layer with ctrl-i. (The screen is white then).The last step is Gaussion blur filter to get the line drawing and ajust it. There it goes wrong. I can export the line drawing but after that Affinity doesn't react anymore. Tried it several times with different photo's. 
I have a windows 11 laptop with enough memory for the whole town I live in ;-).

I found out what I did wrong. I pushed the ADD button and it works ok now.

Since the last update the elliptical marquee tool doesn't do anything. Help please. I need it.
(Windows 10 64)
