designing for an LED screen

Hello guys, my client told me he has a PANASONIC 32″ TH-32EF1E LCD DISPLAY and he wants me to create a logo as well, and according to the specs, the resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 Pixels. Does that mean that's the resolution I have to use in designing? Thanks for the help.
