I would suggest that all MAC users do reset their MACs before they sell or give away, a standard procedures to remove all private info, including applications. Additionally, they would need the original owner to share their Apple ID and/or passcode to use the MAC. Yes some may do this but I would suggest this is not standard mode of operation.

Just log in with the same Apple ID, go to MAS.

Did you select the color selected, right circle? The eyedropper doesn't change the color in the two circles, you have to select the color.

If you did purchase from MAS check there for updates. You may wish to verify your update setting and if you checked Auto Update. A side note, as these are old versions, make sure you signed in your Apple ID you purchased Affinity products.

No, I rely on my trusted Apple Pencil. I did try several USB drives but all had problems, especially saving AP files. I just returned them. I’m using older 10.5 iPad Pro 3 Generation and 1st gen Apple Pencil. Happy to see your back in full operation mode.

What happens if you double click on Apple Photos, click Edit, click (...) and Edit in Affinity Photo? If your photo opens and edits are made, you may need Export, Share (bottom left) Add to Photos. I and many more are unable to save edits in Affinity Photo and Catalina. Hundreds, if not thousands of post on this subject.

I think that many may not have “between the apps” for editing. Unless I read the original post wrong, the request was to have this available in AP., not as you noted in other Affinity Apps.
