Hey everyone, I am brand new to affinity designer/ illustrator and all of that sort of thing. I am playing around with the pen tool since I had always had a hard time with it in the past, but I finally decided to try to learn it. I was tracing my thumb and for some odd reason, when I went to close this shape and then fill it, it is not filling clean and nicely. I am not sure what is causing this and I need help understanding. I love affinity designer and I'm new to it and I really want this program to work better than adobe's. I just can't seem to figure out why when I subtract, it leaves a fine line after (on the red book). See attached file for more info. Even after exporting it is there. path practice.afdesign

I am unable to figure out how to make the color picker automatically become the primary color rather than the secondary color. I want to be able to color pick and then go right into drawing that selected color. I am trying to use affinity photo for digital painting and the ability to color pick and use that color quickly is essential for me.
